Apartment at the Black Gate is a spacious, fully furnished apartment that is perfectly located next to the baroque gates of the historic church of the old town. A blend of modern amenities and antique furnishings make this the perfect location for either short or long term stays. Premium bedding and exclusive linens are provided in the bedroom with a queen sized bed for guests (160x200cm). A baby cot is also available for stays with 3 guests + a baby. A full kitchen is there to enjoy meals within the apartment. In the morning guests can sip their coffee in antique cups rather than mugs. As the neighbouring church doesn’t use bells, Kościelna Street is very quiet ensuring a peaceful stay that is within walking distance of the town's attractions and restaurants. Attention has been made to ensure a relaxing and comfortable stay is enjoyed by guests. When restoring the apartment, the original ribbing of the walls were exposed, the so-called Prussian Wall from 1576, which gives the place an amazing atmosphere. The historic feel was continued when selecting furnishings and items available for use by guests during their stay. Visitors can relax on the original Chesterfield lounge and feel the ambience of stylish French and Italian furniture. Modern conveniences have also been included for your comfort. Free WiFi is available and a Smart TV to use your movie platforms with your own account is provided. You've arrived at the Black Gate Apartment, which I created with love and passion for antiques. I've meticulously crafted every detail to transport you back 100 years to a time when life was simpler and everyday objects had soul. If you'd like to discover the beauty and functionality of everyday objects in a beautiful interior, our apartment is the right place. The building itself was built in 1576 and it owes its present appearance to the German merchant A. Neugebauer, who added a third floor in 1879 and changed the façade to a classicist one. While renovating the apartment, we discovered beautiful original walls, the so-called Prussian Wall, which now adorn both adjacent rooms. When I first saw the building, I was captivated by its unique location, in the heart of the historic Old Town, at the foot of the Black Gate and the beautiful Church.

We recommend walking to the Old Town, the Kłodzko Fortress, the Church of the Assumption and the underground route, right in the back of the Church. Everything at your fingertips, without the need to start the car engine. Parking is free in the Old Town area, but as a reminder, it is not allowed under our building. Right next to our tenement house there is the famous Black Gate with jesuit figures and the baroque Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In the neighbourhood, there are: Kavosh downstairs, pizzeria at the bottom of the stairs (next to the parking) and 'Chill Burge'r by the bridge with tasty food and excellent cocktails. A nice bakery round the corner, opens early in the morning. If you want to try Polish pierogi, head to Łukasińskiego Street near the Town Hall for home-made dumplings or if you like traditional food.
