I am an agronomist: I love plants, but also music, surfing, snowboarding and travelling. After spending most of my working time on managing positions, I decided to help people get what they most long for – happiness. Providing pleasant and unforgettable vacations is now my drive. My office is in the property so I am usually available to help/give suggestions/give information.

Property information

The Villa, where the apartment is located, was built in the 60s of the last century and it has been in our family for four generations so far. Our grandparents, as Cascais lovers, used this house for summer holidays. However, the next generation managed to change it to permanent residence. In 2020, we decided to give this building a “new life”. Our purpose was to share with others the beauty of the space. And so, the Villa, completely renovated and decorated in 2022, is now divided into four lovely apartments. Decoration is minimalist, mixing furniture that was already in the Villa with new pieces. You can see paintings and furniture made by the family “artists”, and new trends, giving a charming look to the whole setting. As plant lovers, we named all the apartments after the most iconic plants growing in the villa garden. Estrelícia, also known as Paradise Bird, is a beautiful plant. We are fortunate to have one big example just in front of the building. With 2 bedrooms and 109m2, the apartment is on the second floor and it´s the biggest of the Villa. The 11m2 balcony, right over Estrelícia, it´s a wonderful place to enjoy a sunset drink. Sustainability is a big priority for us. Saving water, being efficient with energy use, and promoting recycling have been goals from the very beginning. In our garden, we select plants that are adapted to the climate, minimizing water usage. When necessary, the drip irrigation system provides the water required by most of our plants. All the lamps in use are LED, some with motion sensors, and most of our household appliances have an A rating or higher in energy efficiency. We decided to choose an energy supplier that uses 100% renewable sources. We encourage guests to separate their waste and use the recycling containers. By doing so, we reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to a better planet for all of us.

Neighbourhood information

The Villa is located in Bairro do Rosário, one of the premium areas in Cascais, a very quiet neighbourhood mostly surrounded by other Villas. It's only 850 meters to the sea and at a 15- minute walk to the city center. The Supermarket "Pingo Doce Cascais - Guia" with anything you might need (including a restaurant and take-away food) is just an 120 meters away. There is a bus stop right in front of the Villa that can take you to the center or to the beaches. If you want to travel to Lisbon, trains from Cascais to Lisbon (Cais do Sodré) leave every 20 minutes, from 5:30 AM to 1:30 AM, and the journey takes about 40 minutes. The bus to Sintra, from Cascais center, will take about 30 minutes. There are several MobiCascais Kiosks nearby where you can rent traditional or electric bicycles and electric scooters. Free parking inside the building and free parking on the street. The restaurants are just a walking-distance, either you prefer the international cuisine or some hidden gems of the typical Portuguese cuisine.
