We’re Dennis and Anouk, and together with our daughter Mo. We warmly welcome you to Casa da Ponte. After hosting guests in Italy for several years, we’ve chosen a simpler life here in Portugal.
We love sharing this peaceful place and are happy to offer tips about the area, wine tastings, local sights or just a good conversation. Whether you come to relax, explore, or do nothing at all, we’ll do our best to make you feel at home.
Casa da Ponte is located in the quiet village of Selmes, in the heart of the Alentejo wine region. There are soms bars,a weekly market on sundays, severalsmall supermarkets and you can eat something in de Village.
Our house sits right next to the village’s old stone bridge, adding a touch of history and charm to your stay.
Selmes is a peaceful place with a slow rhythm and very friendly locals (The warm people of Alentejo).
You’ll be surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, and open skies — perfect for relaxing, exploring, fishing, mountain biking or visit one of the fabulous surrounding lakes. The Alqueva lake and the Pedrógão Dam are only 20 minutes away.
