Banyan Tree House is a charming, cosy, self-contained holiday house, Beautifully presented, with a roof terrace and a veranda, a spiral staircase, comfortable place to unwind and relax, a perfect romantic getaway and an excellent base to explore the Silver Coast. Set between two restored windmills, surrounded by gardens, nature trails and only 3 minutes to walk to the cultural centre of Óbidos. Ideal for Relaxation, History, Exploration, Beaches, Water sports, Golf, Outdoor ActivIties and Adventure. The main entrance opens to the lounge, kitchen, diner that has a double sofa bed and a separate shower room. The spiral staircase leads up to the bedroom that has a king size bed and a separate WC washroom. (Please note that there is no door between the downstairs lounge and the staircase which leads up to the bedroom so may be more suitable for 2 adults and 2 children). The area of the inside of the house is approximately 50m2 with a large wrap around terrace off of the bedroom for out door dining. The ground floor has a veranda and a breakfast table overlooking gardens. The kitchen has a fridge freezer, hob, washing machine, dishwasher and a microwave.

We moved to this region 4 years ago because of the variety of activities that are right here in Obidos, the castle has numerous festivals throughout the year including the Medieval Festvial in July, the Villa Natal in December, plus Literary Festival, Chocolate Festival and Busking. And of course the beaches and the Lagoon are nearby too. There is so much to love about being here!

Obidos Castle is the main attraction with its quaint streets, shops and cafes, a 'Copo da Ginga' is a must have along the street , its a small chocolate cup with a locally produced Cherry liqueur. There's nature trails and walks around the Castle, and a only a short drive to beaches and the Lagoon for all kinds of water activities. And of course Golf at Royal Obidos, Praia D'el Rey or Bom Successo. Baleal has two beaches either side of a spit and Peniche has an historic Port, also boat trips to the Berlenga Archipelago. both are ideal for surfing and bathing. A Family friendly seaside beach and cafes at Praia Foz Do Arelho The small city of Caldas Da Rainha nearby for shopping, history, for example the Thermal Hospital founded in 1485, and its beautiful park, Parque Dom Carlos I, is easily accessable by car or bus.
