Praia das Bicas is within 15 minutes walking distance. Praia do Rio da Praia is more or less the same walking distance. Praia do Meco and Praia da Foz are 5 minutes by car. SAILING, WINDSURFING, KITESURFING and CANOEING can also be enjoyed nearby at Lagoa de Albufeira - a beautiful LAGOON (5 minutes by car). SESIMBRA (12 km away) is the closest city. Once a very small fishing village, is famous for fish and shellfish restaurants. For DIVING, Portinho de Arrábida and Sesimbra beaches have some of the most interesting diving in Portugal. For the GOLFERS, there are 4 recommended championship golf courses: Quinta do Peru (20 km), Aroeira (27 km), Montado (30 km) and Tróia (40 km). For HORSE RIDING, there are a few riding schools nearby.
