The whole house was designed to honor the memories, from the tree next to the pool, the wood oven that so much bread and goat baked, the pictures scattered on the walls of the house, the stone table that added wine glasses, snacks and laughter to the its return to the objects of the crop. We respect traditions like the fabric bag that keeps bread warm, the colorful linen curtains, the beds against the wall and the wine cellar. A true experience, local friendliness, good food and stunning scenery are all we can offer you. Inserted in the vicinity of the rural nucleus of the parish of Fornelos in Lugar da Lapa, in the Council of Cinfães do Douro.

Casa do Avô has a fully equipped kitchen, a TV room, a cellar with wines from the region, an outdoor pool, a barbecue area and a private park. Each room is characterized by a color tone that is present in various details of the decoration. The rooms have a comfortable and luxurious double bed, a small seating area consisting of a small table and two chairs strategically placed to enjoy the beautiful view. On the porch in front of the rooms with a view over the green valley of Fornelos you can taste every morning a delicious breakfast thought with great care and served in a traditional wicker basket. In the late afternoon you can also enjoy nature watching the sunset, in the company of those you love, with a glass of wine and a good book. We suggest renting a bicycle in order to explore the surrounding environment, for the more restless we also have water sports such as rafting, various routes on the local trails and walks through the terrain. For a more peaceful afternoon we recommend a visit to the river beach Km10, which is bathed by the cleanest waters in the whole of Europe on the Rio Paiva.
