Right in the centre of the fishing village of Zambujeira do Mar, two minutes walking distance from the beach and right in front of the most famous bakery in the region, Casa do Viajante is the perfect solution for those looking for comfort and simplicity during those magical resting days facing the wild ocean of the Alentejo Coast. Casa do Viajante has two apartments, one with 2 rooms, offering a double bed and a bunkbed, perfect for a small family or a group of friends, and another with 1 room and a sofa bed, totally remodelled in 2021, ideal for a romantic getaway. Both houses feature king-size beds, living room with flat screen TV, wi-fi, fully equipped kitchen and toilet. Outside you have the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentina Coast Natural Park, several dream beaches, backed by jaw dropping cliffs and you'll be right in the heart of the famous Fishermen's Trail of the Rota Vicentina that you can explore on a daily basis, making Casa do Viajante your base of operations.
We are passionate for this region and for several times we've hiked and cycled the entire coast. We love to travel in Portugal and explore the world and it's with the greatest happiness that we welcome our guests, so that you can try a bit of the pleasure which is to live in this Alentejo facing the ocean.
The house is right in the centre of town, in front of the bakery and close to everything you may need, such as restaurants, bars, the market, ATM and so on. The beach is just two minutes walking and the hiking trail almost at the doorstep. Park the car and free your mind.
