Casa dos Cogumelos is an exclusive property located in Murtinheira, near Quiaios Beach and Figueira da Foz in Portugal (2h from Lisbon, 1h30 from Porto). It consists of two independent houses set in a unique natural landscape with direct and private access to the beach. Nestled between the Boa Viagem mountain range and the sea, it provides the perfect retreat for vacations and relaxation with family and friends. Access & Parking Arriving by car, you should carefully descend the access ramp to reach the parking lot within the property, where you can park your vehicle. The House The property comprises 2 houses. Upon arrival, the Mushroom House will be on your left, easily identifiable by its unique architecture! Bedrooms The bedrooms are very welcoming, offering support furniture for luggage and clothing. The beds are comfortable, featuring mattresses made in Portugal from natural and sustainable materials. Bedroom 1 - Double Bed Bedroom 2 - Double Bed or 2 Single Beds - you can request the option you prefer Bedroom 3 - Double Bed or 2 Single Beds - you can request the option you prefer Bathrooms The house has 2 full bathrooms with carefully selected personal hygiene products at your disposal - shampoo, shower gel, and soaps. Kitchen and Dining Room The kitchen is fully equipped, boasting a modern and functional design with state-of-the-art SMEG appliances. The dining room accommodates up to 8 people. Living Room The living room offers two distinct spaces, the first with a large sofa and a comfortable seating area with a television and sea view, and a second cozy space near the fireplace. Garden and Outdoor Space There is a spacious garden, a barbecue, and an outdoor dining area. Beach Access There is direct and private access to the beach via stairs built into the rock. You will reach a very tranquil area of the beach, which you can almost enjoy all to yourself.

I have not yet found another way of living other than creating new and exciting projects. I am an incurable enthusiast of the Mushroom House (Casa dos Cogumelos), dating back to my childhood. It has always been our family and friends' home, where we spent endless summers of childhood and youth in great adventures! It is a great pleasure to be able to share this piece of paradise :) Below are some important pieces of information. Availability We will be available between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM every day for any questions that may arise or assistance needed during the stay. Restricted Areas of the Property The property is quite large, and certain areas are restricted to guests as they are in the project/maintenance/restoration phase and may pose a danger to individuals. It is strictly prohibited to exceed fences and/or protective barriers, especially in areas where circulation is prohibited.

The natural landscape is lush, featuring prominent landmarks such as Cabo Mondego, Murtinheira Beach, and the Boa Viagem mountain range. It is ideal for enjoying beautiful beach days and mountain hikes. Nearby, there are several charming beachside restaurants and bars. Just 10 km away in Figueira da Foz, there are options for nightlife, including the famous casino, bars, restaurants, and nightclubs, as well as the Mondego River and the Salt Museum. In Montemor-o-Velho (about 25 minutes away), you can visit the medieval castle. The cities of Coimbra and Aveiro are a 45-minute drive away. The two cities are quite interesting and definitely worth a visit, as Aveiro is considered to be the Venice of Portugal and Coimbra is our historical students town. Transportation To reach the Mushroom House, the most suitable means of transportation is by car, as the property is secluded from other houses and surrounded by nature. However, there are public transportation options to the city of Figueira da Foz (train or bus), and from there, you can take a taxi to the Mushroom House. Nevertheless, since the property is a bit far from the urban center for walking, we recommend having a car at your disposal for shopping, etc. There is parking available within the property.
