Casas do Poente is a property consisting of 3 houses, ours and 2 other independent houses - Casinha da Cabra & Casinha do Burro, each one with its own private patio and a terrace. There is a common entrance through a white gate to a small garden with small fruit trees, a little veggie garden and an outdoor shower. Casas do Poente is in a quiet secluded part of the village, in a closed square that gives the street a sense of peace and privacy. Casinha da Cabra consists of 1 bedroom with a double bed, 1 living-dining room with an equipped kitchenette, a wood burning stove, 1 WC, a wonderful private patio - perfect for dining outside and a terrace. Easy and free parking outside the property. Casas do Poente values a minimalistic and environmentally friendly approach when it comes to amenities: solar panels were installed to heat water and ecological materials were used for the rebuilding of the houses. The house has central heating (floor heating) and a wood burning stove, with plenty of wood, which provides amazing comfort on chilly winter days. No TV.

We are quiet and value both our privacy and the privacy of our guests. We are a family of 4 = 2 humans and 2 dogs. Just so you know - our dogs were rescued... Praia and Mela in their previous lives were abused, so they are a little insecure and may bark when they see someone new, they are beautiful and fluffy and look like cartoon characters.

Rogil is a quiet rural village, surrounded by beaches and countryside, with beautiful routes to do on foot or by bike. Walking distance from Casas do Poente, are local grocery stores, newsagent, cafes, pharmacy, the little vegetable and fish market of Rogil, the fishing shop and other small local shops. 3 to 5 km away we have Vale dos Homens and Barradinha Beaches, with their incredible natural beauty and still relatively unexplored landscape. A little bit further south, there is Amoreira Beach, Arrifana Beach, Monte Clérigo Beach and 4,8km north we have Odeceixe Beach, surfing, windsurfing, swimming, or an afternoon on the sand will be memorable on any of these beautiful beaches.Casas do Poente is located inside the Rota Vicentina region, a wide network of 740 km hiking trails, including a selection of 24 Circular Routes, complementing the Fisherman’s Trail and the Historical Way, that explore the villages and the mountain range along the magnificent coastline... one of the best coastal trails in the world, according to the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler magazine!
