Our accommodation offers you the chance to feel the authenticy of Maramures, the most traditional area of Romania. Our village, Breb, is one of the best preserved from Maramures. We invite you to stay in an old traditional wooden house. This house is almost 100 years old and provides 4 rooms for a total of 12 guests. Every room has toilet/shower and wifi / tv. Appart of this house, we have two more houses built in a more moder style with a total of 6 rooms, traditional decorated. Our guesthouse has a large beautiful private garden where our guests can enjoy free time.
We, Vasile and Maria are the owners of Maramu Guesthouse. We are born in Breb Village and our dream was to have Pension where to receive guests and show them the beautiful Maramures. We are trying to offer you the best authentic experience you can have in Maramures. Most of our food is from our farm and we provide delicious meals with local products.
Breb Village is located in a perfect position for exploring Maramures. This area from Maramures is called "historical Maramures" and it is one of the most traditional. The landscapes around our village are one of the best from Maramures. Close from our location are 2 Unesco WH sites: Wooden Churches from Budesti and Desesti. At 1 hour drive, you can visit the Merry Cemetery in Sapamanta. At 30 minutes drive is the Cavnic Ski Resort. At 45 minutes drive you can visit Sighet Memorial dedicated to the anti-communist resistance and Elie Wiesel Memorial House.
