Our charming apartment is nestled in the heart of the enchanting Baroque district, originally designed to accommodate the higher administration of the fortress. This district, boasting a delightful array of colorful buildings, all dating back to the period between 1750 and 1900, is proudly preserved as a site of exceptional cultural importance. As you step into our neighborhood, you'll find yourself enveloped in history. At its peak, the fortress, often referred to as the 'Danube's Gibraltar,' stood as the largest fortification in Europe – a title it held for more than two centuries. The fortress was completed in 1780, more than 240 years ago! And it's just a mere 5-minute stroll from our doorstep to reach the highest point of the Petrovaradin fortress, where you'll be treated to a breathtaking view of the city, alongside a plethora of charming cafes, restaurants, and galleries. Don't forget to explore the Novi Sad city museum, which houses an underground military well dating back to the early 18th century, a true architectural masterpiece of its time.
