The host is a family of a mother and father of two sons and proud member of the Local Homestay Network by Bonnie’s Tours & Adventures.They live just a short distance from Akagera National Park. She runs a small food trading shop to support her family and also serve as a community health advisor in my village. For hosting guests is a dream come true — it allows her to share Rwandan way of life and warm hospitality with visitors from around the world. Her son of 25 years old is a trained tour and safari guide who grew up right here near the park. His love for wildlife and ecotourism start in childhood, surrounded by the sounds of nature and stories from local guides. He is also an electrician by education and taxi motor driver in Kigali, he can pick you up from the airport and drop you off at your hotel in Kigali, making travel easier and more affordable for budget travelers. Together, they welcome guests with open hearts, offering an authentic and meaningful stay that combines comfort, culture, and connection with nature.
Akagera Homestay Experiences is located in a peaceful rural village just outside Akagera National Park, one of Rwanda’s most beautiful and biodiverse regions.
