The town is best known for its fortress and baths. Take a walk along the harbor promenade and enjoy the sight of the historic bathhouse, Kallbadhuset, which dates back to 1903. The towns of Kungsbacka and Falkenberg also make for an exciting day trip. In Falkenberg you can visit the charming old town of Gamla stan, experience the Vallarna open-air theater and admire the famous Tullbron, a beautiful stone bridge with five arches dating back to 1756. You can also take a bike ride on the Kattegattleden.
