Once a bustling hub of learning, the Kyrkskola served as a school until 1969. Now, it has been lovingly transformed into a serene hotel, inspired by the vision of its former owners, Henrik and Inger. Henrik, a history teacher, was captivated by the stories old buildings could tell. Inger, an artist and nature enthusiast, dreamed of creating a place where people could reconnect with themselves and the world around them. When they stumbled upon the Kyrkskola, its rustic charm, whispers of its past, and stunning location by Lake Ånimmen inspired them to give it a new life. Their decision to turn the Kyrkskola into a hotel was born from their shared passion for preserving heritage while offering modern comforts. Henrik designed spaces that bridged the school’s past and future, while Inger infused the interiors with local materials, second-hand furniture, and handmade crafts, creating an authentic and inviting atmosphere.
