Company information

Arctic Colors is a family run business catering for Northern Lights tourists during the winter and Midnight Sun tourists during the summer months. The accommodation site has been operating for several years whilst the restaurant was opened in the autumn of 2016.

Property information

Our position next to the Lule river on the outskirts of Porjus village is an ideal place to observe the Northern Lights due to low levels of light pollution. Our position is also a nice spot to see the Midnight Sun during the summer and we are conveniently situated next to the railway station which operates during the summer guests can arrive on the daily Inlandsbanan train and walk the short distance to the apartments. We are dog friendly, however we only allow 2 dogs per apartment. During busy periods you need to check before booking as we don't allow dogs into all of our apartments.

Neighbourhood information

The main selling point for Porjus is peace and quiet with our nearest shops being 45 kms away in Jokkmokk and Gallivare. We are close to the National Parks of Muddus and Stora Sjofallet with the associated hiking and fishing opportunities. The village has an 18 hole golf course with the opportunity to play during the night when the sun doesn't set and birdwatching is a popular hobby with a lot of our guests. During the winter we can help arrange husky tours or snowmobile tours locally. Our nearest airport is situated in Gallivare with daily flights to and from Stockholm and the companies offers transfers to Gallivare airport and railway station.
