M/S Rygerfjord Hotel & Hostel consists of three ships, anchored at Söder Mälarstrand in central Stockholm, a few minutes walk from the historic Old Town as well as creative and trendy Södermalm district. We offer 90 cabins, in various sizes and categories. Some with private bathroom and some with shared facilities – some with a view to the land and some with a view to the sea… Most of the rooms are suited to two persons. On the boat #3 you have free access to the guest kitchens where you can prepare your own breakfast or other food. M/S Rygerfjord is located in Södermalm, a very safe neighborhood, within walking distance to both Slussen’s metro station and gorgeous Gamla Stan, Stockholm's cozy and lively old city. Right in front of our three beautiful boats there's what we call "Söders höjder" (Södermalm's hights), from where you can get a fantastic view of the city, especially by night. So bring your camera with you! From the hotel, you can easily take a short walk to trendy SoFo as well, one of Stockholm's most popular neighborhoods, with lots of bars and restaurants where both foreign and local food is served. Our favorites: Grannen (in Skånegatan), Chutney (in Katarina Bangata), Blue Light Yokohama (in Åsogatan), Hermans (in Fjällgatan) and Blå Dörren (in Södermalmstorg), just to name a few. Götgatan, Södermalm’s main avenue, is a good street name to keep in mind, since you will certainly be walking along it to move around the neighborhood (besides, that's where you'll find the metro stations for all three green lines run all the way through Södermalm to both southern and northern Stockholm). You will also find tons of cute little cafés and antique shops around Bondegatan/Södermannagatan, and quite some night life around Medborgarplatsen and Nytorget. So make sure you check out these places online when planning your trip; you’ll sure find some interesting things you might wanna see!
