From our kitchen always smells intoxicatingly excellent home cooking as you prepare for a variety of casseroles and lunches made from natural organic ingredients that are grown in the home garden or gather in the surrounding forests. Vera Majerhold likes preparing cheese dumplings, apple and blueberry pie, flancati, polenta with porcini mushrooms and other traditional Slovenian food. Our offer are also excellent meat products, including homemade salami and stuffed pig’s stomach, on which you can snack on our whole wheat or potato bread. For refreshment we will offer you a cup of sour milk or a glass of excellent local šabese.

Mountain Home Majerhold is located in Matkov corner, the smallest glacial valley in the headwaters of the Savinja above the great valley Logarska. At an altitude of 1,150 m, it is only 2km away from the Austrian border pass Pavličevo saddle. You are welcome to join in our adventure walks around the nature, to fun ethno-animation activities, to mountain hikes, sport activities There is also a lot to discover when travelling as a family, pairs or individuals: a walk along Logarska dolina or Robanov kot, a short walk to the ancient Solčava yew tree, visiting the permanent exhibtion of Potočka zijalka, visiting the church of St. Mary of the Snowe, the exhibition of the felt products or ethnographic exhibitions. Take a walk in the landscape parks of Logarska dolina and Robanov kot, climb up to the mountain huts or tops, fly in a tandem parachute over Logarska dolina. Indulge in an archery adventure, rock climbing or other sport activities. You can visit Solčavsko panoramic by bike and discover attractions along the way.
