This charming 200-year-old Istrian stone house is located in the exceptionally peaceful village of Trsek, at an elevation of 295 metres, on the edge of a protected natural area above the Dragonja Valley. Lovingly renovated and furnished with natural materials, the house offers a healthy, warm and comfortable atmosphere for guests seeking rest, silence and closeness to nature, while still appreciating the convenience of being near the sea and numerous points of interest.
The house is fully equipped for up to five guests and includes two bedrooms (one is a walk-through room with access to the balcony), a living room with a wood-burning stove, a bathroom, and a kitchen with direct access to the terrace. All windows have mosquito screens, and the house is equipped with a powerful air-conditioning system for heating and cooling, as well as Wi-Fi and cable television. The terrace features sun loungers, a table and a bench, and the courtyard offers a small herb garden. Due to both indoor and outdoor stairs, the property is not ideal for small children.
Parking is free, either in the courtyard or 25 metres away in the village centre.
Please note: on rare occasions, a small local scorpion may appear — it is completely harmless and common in our region.
We are a family that loves nature, art, architecture and a calm lifestyle. We have been welcoming travellers from around the world for many years, and we value sincere, friendly encounters as well as the privacy of our guests. Visitors often say they feel relaxed, welcome and safe here — we are always available when needed, but never intrusive.
Our wish is that you feel at home in the house and that you discover the beauty of the Dragonja Valley, Istria and the Adriatic at your own pace.
The village of Trsek is idyllic and exceptionally peaceful, surrounded by unspoiled nature and the starting points of many beautiful walking paths. Shops and pleasant local restaurants are just a ten-minute drive away, while the coastal towns of Koper, Izola and the picturesque Piran can be reached in twenty minutes.
The location is ideal for exploring: nearby are the Škocjan Caves, the Lipica Stud Farm, the Istrian countryside, the coast, and the lively cities of Ljubljana and Trieste. Day trips to the Soča River, Lake Bled or even Venice are possible. Evening drives back to the village often reveal deer, rabbits or foxes — nature truly is part of everyday life here.
This is the perfect choice for guests seeking peace, nature, authenticity and a great base for exploring Slovenia and the northern Adriatic.
