Smaltovňa Lofty is a renovated historical building. Rakkottyaova Smaltovňa was an important producer in the region throughout Austria-Hungary at the turn of the 19th and the first half of the 20th century. She exported enamelware with the lion sign all over Europe. From two points of view, this is very important building for Lučenec town. On the one hand, it’s an object, that completed the panorama od the town, and on the other hand, it’s a leading employer, employing over 1000 workers. In both cases it made a significant contribution to the creation of the identity of the Lučenec town. Almost everyone in Lučenec knows which way to go, when they hear word Smaltovňa.
