All of our unique roundhouses are hand made using natural and local materials. Thick walls using rice husks as insulation cool down our buildings on hot days, and warm them up during cold nights. Our garden is planted using permaculture principals and we offer chemical free shampoos and soaps in our semi open air ensuite bathrooms. We also offer organic coffee and teas, and home made scones and jams for breakfast.
One of the many advantages of our property are the stunning views from all over the grounds, and from each of the Roundhouses, of Mount Chiang Dao and the surrounding hills and valleys.
This property was my dream and I designed and built it all myself, with the help of some volunteers and local workers. I live on the property, also in a hand made roundhouse. My companions are 4 dogs and cats, and our staff are all local living in our village under the mountain.
We live at the base of the third highest mountain in Thailand, Mount Chiang Dao. Chiang Dao Cave, a famous land mark, is just a few minutes walk away. In our small rural Thai village the people are friendly and enjoy meeting foreigners. There are good places to eat near the Roundhouses. There are lovely walks in the area, with lots of birds and flowers. There is a natural hot spring nearby and local markets to visit. Our grounds are a haven of peace and tranquility, with fantastic views, if you prefer an afternoon swaying in a hammock.
