My husband and I found this gem of a house when looking for a friendly and laid back place to live in retirement. It was in bad condition at the time. The restoration of this house became our retirement project and hobby. My husband combined his experience building factories and his passion for preservation of local history to create this masterpiece. We designed each room with a family member in mind. We used our family heirloom pieces and art we collected over the years to decorate the common areas and the guest rooms. When our son returned to Izmir from living abroad, he insisted that we open our new home up to guests. We are so happy he insisted! We're enjoying meeting wonderful guests from all over the world. I had an enjoyable 40-year career as a psychologist and have always liked meeting new people. Thanks to my retirement hobby, I continue to make new friends everyday.
