Previous guests have said they felt like they had a real holiday experience staying at Villa Mavi.
I'm Irish. Lived in London most of my life. Came to Fethiye in 2001 for a wedding. Fell in love with the area. And with the help of good friends, I built Villa Mavi.
Villa Mavi is situated with the, very friendly and welcoming locals in a quiet part of Çalis. It's along the canal. Which is a lovely 15/20 stroll to the beach front, shops & restaurants. Though there are many very good restaurants, entertainment, and shops closer to the villa. Along the canal you may see turtles, ducks, frogs and other wildlife and fauna.
It's also close to the sunday market. For all your holiday shopping. And fresh fruit and veg.
Opposite direction is lovely for walks or cycles. Along the foothills of the mountains.
From Çalis you can hop on a water taxi to Fethiye. A fabulous experience. Especially if its timed to enjoy the beautiful sunsets on the way back.
Fethiye is well worth a visit. Especially the museum. The fish market is a definite if you are fish lovers.
The tombs on the hill, a little hike. The views are breathtaking from there. Great for photos. And the old town itself has a great old traditional hammam spa. A great idea to end the holiday and prepare for journey home.
