「走過虹橋」民宿，是以呈現太魯閣族文化為主體，
以創意的思維利用山泉水形成小瀑布，
配合特殊設計的燈光照射，在瀑布的上方映出彩虹，
將此造景與傳統文化相結合，以深度而精簡的做文化介紹，
以達到傳承與教育的目的。
「走過彩虹」（muda hakaw utux ）是太魯閣族自我價值的最高實踐，族人稱「彩虹」為hakaw utux（hakaw為橋，utux為祖靈）。
彩虹是族人心靈的圖騰，對於生命的價值在於「走過彩虹」，
因為在太魯閣族傳統的信仰裡，認為在有生之年遵守gaya（祖訓）者，將來才有資格走過彩虹橋與祖先相遇。
「走過虹橋」民宿坐落於太魯閣國家公園北端入口處，是以呈現太魯閣族文化為主體，結合深度的在地人文介紹。
