- Our beach door opens onto a wide sandy path up to the magnificent turquoise ocean & beautiful long beach walks in both directions. - Kendwa beach is about a 40 minute walk in the left direction - if the tide is in you can take a boat taxi there or back. - A 20 minute or so walk to the right, takes you past the fishermen's boatyard / fish market & up to the lighthouse area where you can feed or swim with turtles - there is also a small zoo nearby. - Or the local beach bars / restaurants are just moments away - perfect for a drink / snack whilst watching the dhows / fishing boats go by. - Dive schools, water sports & shops are all close-by, with boat trips to Mnemba & Timbatu Islands’ beautiful coral reefs, for amazing diving & snorkelling. - Taxis are nearby for fabulous sight seeing days out around the island. e.g. spice tours, Jozani Forest, Prison Island, Stone Town etc; All boat trips, water sports, island tours etc can be arranged for you by your host.
