The House of Royals is a historical, luxury property located on the west coast of Zanzibar, just 7 km north of Stone Town. Its jeweling palatial villa, moulded by architecture dating back to the 18th century and renovated with exquisite furnishings, offers guests a first-hand experience into past times of royalty. The House of Royals is most renown for once housing the Arabian Princess, Sayyida Salme, who talks about her romantic stay in her memoirs. With its ancient ruins and bath houses, its flourishing flora, and its comforting garden facilities, the House of Royals offers the perfect balance between its rich historical background and its deluxe, undisturbed tranquility.

We are located in Bububu, a 20 minutes drive up the coast from Stone Town, and 35 minutes from the international airport and we lie just to the south of Nungwi, the Islands most famous white sandy beaches. Bububu is a thriving and lively village and we are situated off the main road right by the local police station, 2 minute walk down a well-lit lane towards the coast and into our beautiful sanctuary of peace and tranquillity. The place is well located if you arrive/leave the Island as it’s close to the airport as well as the visits of Stone Town, Spice Farm, Prison Island/Snorkeling.
