The two bedrooms are furnished with a plush queen-size bed and a twin-size bed, both adorned with crisp, clean linens. The bathroom features a vintage clawfoot tub with a shower attachment and an original iron sink, offering a unique experience. You can enjoy the charm of living in a 1940s home without sacrificing modern comforts. The fully equipped kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, solid surface countertops, and all the cookware and dishes you'll need for preparing meals during your stay. Two dining areas are provided: one nestled in the kitchen beside an original awning-wrapped cottage window, and another in the sunroom, where summer breezes and plenty of Florida sunshine enhance every meal. The open living area features wood floors, sunny windows, the original limestone fireplace, and plenty of comfortable seating. The living area flows into the kitchen, creating an inviting space for easy living and interaction. I have personally curated the interior with vintage and antique furnishings, complemented by occasional modern accessories, to offer you a blend of historical charm and homey comfort.

Though it has undergone several coats of paint and ownership changes, it remains a standout. The window-lined sunroom at the front of the house is perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or a refreshing afternoon drink. Retaining many of the original windows and doors gives this cottage a cozy atmosphere. It is simple yet complete, making it the perfect place to unwind.

Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve: One of the highlights of Yankeetown is the Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve. This 413-acre preserve offers a variety of experiences for nature lovers. You can explore its three marked hiking trails, each approximately half a mile long, winding through diverse ecosystems including pine forests, salt marshes, and oak hammocks. The Salt Pond Trail, an elevated boardwalk, offers stunning views of tidal ponds and the surrounding marshland. For panoramic vistas, climb the 30-foot observation tower on the Oak Hammock Trail, where you can see the expansive marshlands and even the Gulf of Mexico in the distance. Kayaking and Water Adventures* Yankeetown's waterways are perfect for kayaking. Paddle through the tidal creeks and salt marshes from the Helverson Creek kayak launch to Withlacoochee Bay’s Bird Creek Beach.
