Within walking distance of the house, you will find an endless network of National Forest trails, perfect for walks, runs, and bike rides in the summertime. A 2-minute drive, or a short walk, will take you to Patton Beach, a dog-friendly beach that is great for swimming. Near Patton Beach, you will find more entertainment and dining options such as the famous Garwoods Bar and Grill, a wonderful lakefront dining experience; CB’s Bistro and Pizza for family dinners; Magic Carpet Mini Golf and Arcade for the little ones; and a 7-11 for all of your late-night needs. The beautiful Carnelian West Beach provides another excellent swimming spot just a few minutes' drive from the home. In the winter months, you are only 14 minutes from Northstar, 22 minutes from Alpine Base Area at Palisades Tahoe, and 10 minutes from the Tahoe City Nordic Center, where you will find a huge network of trails for XC skiing or snowshoeing. Those wonderful trails on the National Forest system near the home are perfect for enjoying some XC skiing and snowshoeing in the winter months. If you prefer a little less physical activity, you are just a 12-minute drive west to Tahoe City and 7 minutes east from Kings Beach. In both places, you will find sandy beaches, farmers markets, major grocery stores, golf courses, small boutique shopping, waterfront parks, weekly concerts in the summer, and a wide variety of bars and restaurants. A 10-minute drive will take you to the Nevada state line, where you will find casinos and concert venues. This home is the perfect launching pad for any Lake Tahoe experience!
