Casa Alchimia is an historic house (1789) in the heart of Freeport Maine. The Italian owners during the restructuring, completed in the summer 2019, have preserved the historical structure. A major transformation was made inside, focusing on a contemporary design style, with great attention to the use of natural materials. All the floors are in oak, worked in a traditional way and treated with water-based paints and ecological glues, to live in a healthy home. Italian owners wanted to keep the Italian design style. Every bedroom has its own contemporary style bathrooms with large rain showers equipped with bathrobes, towels, hair dryer and courtesy set. The Deluxe King Suite Room also have separate living room, double sink vanity and soaking tub. Bedrooms are equipped with mini fridge with complimentary snacks and drinks, Nespresso coffe machine, tea kettle, WiFi. Spacious bright rooms, comfortable and relaxing. Furnitures and lightings are composed of pieces from the history of Italian and American design. Freeport is a four season holidays destination. In summer a few minutes by car: beaches, water activities, canoeing, flying fishing, sailing, boating, biking, golfing and many other sports. Every Saturday evenings free concerts at L.L. Bean Campus. In winter: cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice fishing, downhill skiing (ski areas within 1.5 hours driving). Don't miss the Christmas Northern Lights Celebration and New Year's Eve Fireworks at L.L. Bean Campus. During fall: amazing colors, foliage routes, local events and festivals. Portland is only 15 minutes driving from Casa Alchimia. Portland is known for good restaurants, breweries, shopping, museums, daily cruises, lighthouse. Guests should not miss a visit to Maine lighthouses, to Casco Bay's islands and to State Parks in the area.
