My husband spent his childhood summers at Chautauqua Lake learning to water ski, making s'mores, and fishing. Being from Ohio, it was a close getaway that felt like a distant escape into the quintessential "lake life." Shortly after we started dating in college, he brought me to visit and I fell in love as well. Being from Michigan, I have high standards for what a lake should be. I grew up sailing on the Great Lakes and spent every summer living on a sailboat. Needless to say, we love the water. We now live in Ohio and love to "go up to the lake" to get away for a few days or weeks! Chautauqua has so much to offer there is always something for us to explore. We wanted to share our love for this lake with others so they too can create happy memories here for years to come!

This home is the perfect retreat for families and friends to come together and create lifelong memories at the lake! We were drawn to the open floor-plan and incredible view out the front windows. It is so easy to all to gather to share a meal, watch a movie, catch a sunset, and make s'mores around the fire-pit. We also loved the bedroom to bathroom ratio because let's be honest, no one likes to have to share one bathroom with everyone else in the house! The bunk room is perfect for guests of all ages who may want to spend extra time together catching up, stay up late star gazing out the roof top window, or be closest to the kitchen for some late night snacking! We knew the instant we saw the home that it would be a wonderful place to make memories as a family. We are fortunate enough to be able to share our space with guests and we hope that everyone who stays with us is able to make many happy memories to take with them.
