(The description above was auto-generated from Booking. The description below was written by the property owner.) Perched on a hill above the Village of Jeffersonville, Dancing Doe Estate, is a perfect marriage of country charm with the conveniences of small-town life for those looking for a country getaway while not being in an isolated location. The stately blue manor, boasts light-filled spaces, wrap around porch and generous room sizes to very comfortably fit up to 8 guests. **Please note that this is not a party house. No loud noises and music outdoors after 7pm, it is in a residential neighborhood.** This 2-story home, built in 1910, has strong sturdy bones and has recently been updated with modern and designer finishes and fixtures while maintaining original wood and stained glass detailing throughout. The front entrance has a wraparound porch and is a great spot to sip coffee or tea and relax in the crisp morning air. On the 2nd floor are 4 large bedrooms each with a queen bed. A full bath upstairs with clawfoot tub and half bath downstairs. The generously sized living room has plush rug, oversized couch and vintage seating. Spin some records or watch a movie with surround sound speakers. The focal point of the room is centered on a wood burning stove. Enjoy the cold winter nights sipping spiked hot chocolate and warm yourself by the fire. If firewood is not available on the deck it can be purchased at the local gas station. The kitchen leads out to the back deck where you can get great views of the hills beyond Jeffersonville. The year-round hot tub seats 7 people. By using the hot tub, guests take full responsibility for any bodily injury or property damage that may occur. Please use with care and respect our investment in this amenity we have provided for you. Air Conditioning: We have provided window air conditioners in each bedroom and one downstairs. We usually install the air conditioners from June-September.
Our mantra is for you to treat this home with love and respect like it was your own home. We want you to be as comfortable as possible, so we have provided keyless entry and instructions inside to minimize any disruption in your stay. However, we will still be available if you need us via the app or texting/calling.
Check out the Guidebook for some of our local recommendations! The Village of Jeffersonville is small but has a big personality. In the past couple of years it has been going through a renaissance of sorts. It has some new great restaurants, such as Tavern on Main and the Old Foundation. There is a small but good supermarket (Peck's) in town which has essentials. Its very easy to take a pleasant stroll down the hill and through town. Check out the town as new establishments are opening up all the time! Having a car is the easiest way to get around.
