Hello :) Mike and Laura here, your hosts! Our property has been a successful Chardonnay Vineyard since 1987, one of the oldest in the valley. We purchased from the original owners in 2016. We had a dream of designing and building our own custom home in the middle of a vineyard, living the good life, being close to nature, farming our own land, making wine all while sharing the experience with others. A year and a half later of designing, 6 months permitting, and a little over a year to build Domaine Chardonnay, our dream came to life. Every step was fascinating, exciting, inspiring and arduous at the same time. Michael’s design of Domaine Chardonnay is inspired by a small village in the Loire Valley of France complete with a little medieval Chapel, and it fits right in to the middle of our 5 acre Chardonnay Vineyard as if it was always there and meant to be. Now our beautiful dream of Domaine Chardonnay has become a reality, with its posh decor designed by Laura down to the smallest detail, elegant vineyard living with vineyards as far as the eye can see, clean fresh air and sunshine that warms your soul… Come staycation with us and experience the good life too!

Temecula Wine Country is one of the country’s premier wine areas. We now boast over 45 wineries to visit, along with excellent restaurants, charming history, fun wine adventures and beautiful hiking trails. Domaine Chardonnay is located in the heart of Temecula Wine Country with a dozen wineries within walking distance. Our property is very unique as we are one of the first and oldest vineyards in Temecula, surrounded by neighboring vineyards with the closest house being 5 acres over. Almost every room in the house has spectacular 180’ views including the ability to see all the major mountain ridges in Southern California. You are welcome to hike through our vineyard anytime through neighboring vineyard easements and to other wineries or for a morning walk. Please just be mindful we are a working vineyard and there may be equipment, workers and wildlife. So please watch for gopher holes ;) Most mornings we get a colorful assortment of spectacular hot air balloons flying around us, sometimes almost landing in our vineyards!
