We are David and Carol Foster, the owners and Innkeepers at Foster's Bethel Beach Inn. Foster's is a traditional bed and breakfast in a fully-renovated Antebellum farmhouse from 1684, with modern amenities for discriminating guests. The Pineapple Suite, our offering, features a large, well appointed room with a Sleep Comfort Queen bed, a large private bath with double sink, shower with tankless hot water heater, and a private deck with comfortable seating. Guests in the suite will enjoy all listed amenities, such as free wifi, cable tv, hot tub, kayaks, etc. Having only one suite allows us, as Innkeepers, to provide individualized care to our guests! We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our suite, as well as 700 count Supima cotton sheets, leather seating, and delicious home-cooked breakfasts that our guests rave about! The Inn is situated on 12 very private acres full of wildlife, and boasts walking distance from Bethel Beach, right down the road.
We are a semi-retired couple who moved to Virginia 3 years ago. We are both musicians, who love the outdoors and the ultra beauty of Mathews County, Va. where our Inn is located. (Onemo, va is the town) David enjoys playing harmonica and wood-working, especially making beautiful wood frames for Carol's semi-professional hobby of photography. Working together running the inn has been a joy for us, and we are approaching our third season as Innkeepers. Carol also enjoys making jewelry from sea glass and stones, as well as oyster shells from Chesapeake bay area beaches, as well as making cards with her photos. These items are available for sale to our guests. We love to make our guests feel special!
Onemo, Virginia is a small town in Mathews County, va. The Inn is located 1.5 miles from Bethel Beach Nature Preserve, a beautiful, private haven on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. There are some great shops and restaurants in Mathews, Va just 5 minutes away, as well as many sporting and outdoor activities throughout the year, as any good tourist town would have! The Inn itself sits on 12 private acres, and is convenient to several local beaches, as well as being within 30 miles of Yorktown, Williamsburg and Newport News, Va. We are surrounded on 3 sides by water, so there is ALWAYS something to do on the water near us.
