Hale ‘Ohu Bed & Breakfast is a boutique, adults-only property set on five-acres with botanical gardens and a tropical rainforest. We are located in the quaint hamlet of Volcano Village nestled next to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Our three rooms are modern with all the conveniences and comforts travelers expect. Each room has a private entrance, spa-inspired bathroom, Breakfast Nook with mini-fridge, coffee maker and microwave; patio with garden views and a SMART-TV with Netflix access. Rate includes a generous and healthy continental breakfast, daily housekeeping, high-speed Wi-Fi and parking. Hale 'Ohu (ha-lay oh-who) means the House in the Mist. We are situated at a 4,000-foot elevation and enjoy cooler weather even on days with clear blue skies. In the afternoon, mist often rolls in from the slopes of Mauna Loa. We are a legally permitted B&B by the County of Hawai'i.
Gabrielle and Nicole Naughten, twin sisters from the San Francisco Bay Area, purchased the property in 2016. After extensive renovations that began in January 2017, Hale ‘Ohu Bed & Breakfast began welcoming guests in July 2017. Gabrielle and Nicole have traveled extensively around the world. They moved to Volcano to realize their lifelong dream to own and operate a B&B. With much aloha, they welcome you to enjoy their House in the Mist.
Hale 'Ohu is located in Volcano Village with restaurants, galleries and shopping options nearby. We are less than a five minute drive from Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park entrance.
