Welcome to Hale Ohana home away from home! This charming and classic three-bedroom 50’s rural home is just outside Hilo (four miles to the edge of downtown), making it a reasonable accommodation for a family or group of friends. Conveniently located on the Hawaii Belt Road, this home is very close to the start of the four-mile scenic drive. The Hawai’ian Tropical Botanical Gardens and Onomea Bay are just over a mile away. It is ideally located for people visiting the Hamakua Coast (Akaka Falls, and even the Waipio Valley). Back at home, guests have access to a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a washer/dryer, WiFi should you need to plug in, and Cable TV. The sound of the stream flowing below the hillside can be heard from two of the bedrooms while the neighbor’s goats and cows frolicking in their expansive yard to the south set the scene for the home's rural environment. And not to mention, the coqui frogs singing their symphony every evening. The cozy living room offers comfortable furnishings and is the perfect place to retreat after a day of adventure. THINGS TO KNOW No smoking is allowed on the property. Stays over 28 nights may be eligible for a fee waiver. This vacation rental is not equipped with air-conditioning. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximun occupancy and quiet hours. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a damage waiver fee which covers you for up to 3,000 dollars of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out.
