This rustic cabin has 4 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. 1 bedroom & 1 full bathroom on the main floor, 2 bedrooms & another bathroom in the walk out basement and the 4th bedroom in the lofted 2nd floor space. There is a gas fireplace, stackable washer & dryer, central AC, a 5 stage reverse-osmosis water filter & soft water. In addition to the main floor living/dining/kitchen space- you've got another den/eating space in the walk out basement. The Iron Horse Cabin is in the Gilded Mountain Community with a short drive to both Terry Peak Ski lodge & Deadwood. Gilded Mountain is a Quiet ATV/UTV friendly community located on a paved road. The home has parking for up to 3 trucks with 3 trailers or 4 smaller vehicles. In additional to a private hot tub on site, guests have access to a shared outdoor salt water pool (heated year-round!), 2 additional hot tubs, pool table, sauna & a large game room (Ping-pong, Foosball, Shuffle Board) at the Community's Clubhouse less than a block away.

Hello there! I'm fairly new to this (hosting) portion, but have been an avid traveler and guest for many years. I am a retired Army veteran with a small real estate portfolio. The neighborhood is quiet with natural landscape and wildlife (turkey & deer) known to walk through the area. There are about 40 homes in the community with most having a very rustic mining town type feel. The community is only a few short miles from Lead, Deadwood and Terry Peak skiing lodge. Capture the feel of a cabin in the woods but with all the amenities of a hotel in the city easily accessible for your convenience. The road to our home is paved and maintained well but the initial entrance can be steep and difficult to make up if the road conditions are icy or snow packed. The HOA does a great job of plowing once the snowfall lets up. I would recommend AWD with new/good tires at a minimum, but for your overall experience in the Black Hills 4wd is best. AWD/4 Wheel Drive required for reservations from October-March & during times of inclement weather such as snow/ice.
