I love the music scene ....so many different venues. I am an Artist. My work is displayed throughout the house . I also have an exhibit "Mountain Song" on display at our favorite restaurant, "The Wild Flour" here in Old Southwest; a walkable, locally owned neighborhood favorite.

A historic mansion located in the historic district of Old Southwest. The Inn is furnished with antiques, oriental rugs and loving touches by the Artist, Owner. Downtown is just 10 blocks away and features lots of great restaurants, museums and a walking Greenway along the river. This is the beginning of the Music Trail so there is always lots of concerts and events scheduled. Hiking is a favorite among our guests, with the famous MacAfee Knob, AP trail access just 15 miles away. Other exciting trails are just up the Roanoke Mountain highlighted by our famous Mill Mountain Star. And don't forget, the TV icon, "Black Dawg Salvage" on 13th street. Wineries, microbreweries , foodies,. hikers and music lovers enjoy it all at the King George Inn. We will prepare a gourmet dinner upon request.

Our guests love to hike the popular trails along the AP and Blue Ridge Mountains. The transportation museum is a favorite for the all members of the family. You can even purchase a small train set...they make great Christmas presents. The Black Dawg Salvage is a television reality destination. A highly rated TV show on DIY channel and of course our downtown Farmers Market, food scene and micro breweries. So much to do...so little time.....STAY LONGER.
