In fact, during the height of the season, your parking space at the MMI is the only parking space you may need to visit downtown. This is an extremely safe and friendly Island to visit with Acadia National Park at your fingertips. It's fun for the whole family with many miles of hiking, walking and biking trails There are several sightseeing and activity cruises taking off from many areas of Mt. Desert Island that offers something for everyone. If you want to sit back and take a drive around the Island, then go sightseeing throughout and into our neighboring towns and villages. There is so much to see and do so make sure you schedule yourself for plenty of time.
