Hello, I am in my 28th year of business here at Misty Creek Log Cabins. I have 2 cabins that were built in 1997. My residence is here on the property. I have had wonderful guests over the years with quite a few repeats. One couple will return for the 28th time in October. Another couple visits for 4-6 days for their anniversary every September. This year will be their 20th time.
Both cabin porches hang over a small creek which guests enjoy. It is soooo relaxing to listen to the babbling brook.
A window unit air conditioner is put in each cabin for the summer months June-Aug. Most of the time you do not need air conditioning because of the heavy canopy. There are a lot of trees on the property. There are ceiling fans and a pedestal fan in each cabin.
I enjoy showing guests to their cabin when they arrive to show them things they may not notice and to answer any questions they might have.
The cabins are in a neighborhood and when I have asked guests about the location they usually think the cabins are secluded.
There are restaurant menus in each cabin that I briefly go over when I show guests to the cabin.
The Wheels Through Time Museum which is very popular is at the foot of my street about 1/2 mile.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is 6 mile from here.
