Our cabin is a cozy and serene place to vacation, just a short drive from the Bay Area and the Central Valley. The hot tub at night under the stars is a favorite of all our guests. We can also be your "home office" for working remotely, with fast wifi for those Zoom meetings and a couple of separate work areas in the house. YOSEMITE PARK AND BASS LAKE ARE STILL AN AMAZING AND AFFORDABLE VACATION COMBINATION! OUR WHOLE CABIN COSTS LESS THAN ONE HOTEL ROOM AT YOSEMITE. This is a comfortable cabin at Bass Lake that is quite secluded on a small hill overlooking the lake. There is one master bedroom and full bath with a California King bed and a TV. The second bedroom is small, with a bunk bed that is twin-sized on top and full-sized on the bottom. This bedroom has its own bathroom. The living room has a queen-sized Ikea sofa bed (comfy!) and a large smart TV with DVD player. The modern kitchen has a nook that sits 4-6. There is an adjacent library/den area with a table that can be used for dining, game playing, puzzles, crafts, working at your laptop, etc. There is also a desk in the master bedroom. The wifi is fast. There is a hot tub on the deck that overlooks the lake. The hot tub is especially wonderful at night when all is quiet and the stars are bright. There is a patio table (with umbrella) which is the perfect spot for eating all meals, game-playing, relaxing with a glass of wine, etc. You will definitely spend a lot of time on the deck overlooking the hillside and lake. To the side of the house is a semi- enclosed yard area (not "safe" for pets to be left alone)with a concrete patio and a basketball hoop. Children love to play in this side-yard area (although young children must always be supervised) It is a 7-minute walk to the lake with many public beaches close by. Tempur-Pedic mattress toppers in both bedrooms! High chair & Pak'N'Play & toys avail.

Hello! I am a retired business owner, retired teacher, mother of grown sons and grandmother to eight adorable grandchildren. My husband and I love to travel in the United States, Canada, Central America, South America and Europe. We also go to Haiti now fairly regularly as teachers, not tourists. We have owned and enjoyed a cabin near Yosemite for 22 years. It's a wonderful and quiet retreat from the pressures of the world (and Silicon Valley-where we live!) We have welcomed many guests there from all over the world. When we travel, my husband needs lots of time for his photography. I'm usually content to just walk around to get to know the area and the people.

The town of Oakhurst is just 8 miles away and has a wide variety of restaurants, movie theaters, grocery stores, art galleries, etc. There is also good golf, hiking and fishing nearby, along with several wineries. And of course, Yosemite is just up the road! It's a 20 minute drive to the southern entrance to Yosemite (and the Mariposa Grove) and then another 40-60 minutes down into Yosemite Valley. Day trips into Yosemite are very easy to do....then come back to soak in the hot tub at night!
