The Old Iron Inn is a small European-style bed and breakfast that features an elegant, yet comfortable, environment furnished with antiques and, of course, old irons! Kate and Kevin McCartney have been greetings guests from all over the world since 1992. Kevin is a Professor of Geology at the University of Maine at Presque Isle and spearheaded the Maine Solar System Model project located along Route 1. Kate is a well-known cook and all dietary restrictions are happily accommodated.

Caribou is located in far Northern Maine, only 12 miles from the New Brunswick border. The Old Iron Inn is located right in town Caribou, within walking distance to City Hall, the movie theater, restaurants, grocery store, and library. The inn is 1 1/4 miles from Cary Medical Center and the Veterans' Home, 12 miles north of Presque Isle, and 15 miles from the Loring Commerce Center. Northern Maine enjoys the full complement of seasons, most notably a gorgeous winter with lots of snow.
