Orca Island Cabins is more than just a destination-- it's a family-owned legacy. We first opened our doors to guests in 2004 and have been providing guests with lasting memories ever since. Our remote resort was constructed with sustainability in mind and designed to blend into our spectacular natural setting. Orca Island Cabins is a true retreat – an opportunity to escape the busyness of life, immerse yourself in the natural world among marine and wildlife, to chance to adventure and to relax.

Unplug from the everyday and plug-in to nature at this unique glamping paradise for adventure seekers and wilderness enthusiasts. We offer: → 8 private waterfront yurts, accessible only by boat. All yurts include a private bathroom with running water and a compost toilet, a fully functional kitchen space with a stove/oven, a comfortable bed with thoughtfully chosen bedding, a small sitting area, and a private deck with a grill and a furnace for comfort on cold days. → You get 24/7 access to all of our water-based activities at your leisure, including: kayaks, stand-up paddleboards (SUP), row/fishing boats, snorkeling gear, and fishing gear. → Our yurts and property were constructed with sustainability in mind and designed to blend into our spectacular natural setting. We operate primarily off of solar, all toilets are compost-toilets, and we are continually working toward increased sustainability measures. Our private waterfront retreat is accessible only by boat—your journey begins with a breathtaking, private one-hour ride from Seward through the stunning waters of Resurrection Bay, where you'll see an abundance of marine and wildlife, such as Harbor Porpoise, Sea Otters, River Otters, Harbor Seals, Steller Sea Lions, birds, and even the occasional Humpback Whale. Our water taxi departs the Seward Small Boat Harbor daily at 1 PM (guests are asked to meet us at 12:30 PM). Guests arrive back in Seward the day of their checkout at about 11 AM aboard the same boat. Guests are required to bring all of their own food. All cooking tools and equipment are provided. Situated in the protected waters of Humpy Cove in Resurrection Bay, Orca Island guests have the opportunity to explore Alaska both by sea and by land. Our bay is tranquil and offers the perfect location for safe water adventures. Observe abundant wildlife and marine life from a kayak or from your private deck. Guests can enjoy the area at their own pace. Our staff is on grounds 24 hours a day to assist with any guest needs, including tips for how to explore the area and more.
