Wake up to a view of the water and the beautiful wooded islands just across from your cabin! Riverwood is a community of 12 small waterfront cabins on the Maumee River in Waterville, Ohio. "Hunter's Ridge" is a rustic and private log cabin that is approximately 250 square feet. It consists of a log futon bed that sleeps 2 comfortably, a loft that ideally sleeps 2 children on an air mattress, a small kitchenette featuring a sink with hot and cold water, a stove-top, a small refrigerator, and an even smaller freezer. There is a slab of a tree trunk that serves as a 2-person dining room table or desk. There is a microwave oven along with both a drip and Keurig combination coffee maker. (Coffee and condiments are provided for both.) The bathroom features a wooden bathtub with a shower head to rinse off with. There is a brass, turn-of-the-century ship toilet mounted on a tree trunk that you'll need to manually hand-pump. (The basin is made from the same tree.) There is a spacious deck overlooking the river with a 2-person table to enjoy your morning coffee or tea. There is also a log futon for extra guests. The 2-person hot tub is emptied after each use, then bleached, sanitized, and refilled with both proper temperature and chemical levels being carefully maintained. You'' have the complimentary use of kayaks, canoes, paddle boats, and even electric motorized fishing boats to navigate the 7 beautiful islands that are directly in front of your cabin. Included are bicycles of every size to use on the 10-mile-long wooded hiking and biking trail that abuts our property and runs along the river. "Riverwood Log Cabins, It's time you took time."
