The chalet is located 5 mi South from Purgatory resort. 4 wheel drive is mandatory in winter months of November - March as the house is up the hill from the highway. Hi, I’m Basil. I used to vacation to the Pagosa and Durango areas as a kid and always loved it here. Eventually my wife and I decided to buy a house here and then a year or so later decided to live here full time since we both could work remotely. We’re avid skiers, I mountain bike and ride my enduro motorcycle in the beautiful backcountry just steps away from our home. We have one son who is a great skier and musician and learning mountain biking. Our dog Rosie loves to join us on hikes. We love this area and never plan on leaving. There is one other house on the private road but a good distance away so you'll have more privacy than any rental house on the mountain. The house is far from the highway so safe for children and pets. Parking area located toward the base of the driveway, also park anywhere in front of the house.
