About Island Smiles homestay:
Located at Bai Huong village, Tan Hiep commune, Island Smiles homestay is overlooked by hills and is adjacent to the sea. It is only 20m (2 minute) to the Bai Huong sandy beach where coral reefs can be found at low tide. In addition, there are colourful fish, crabs, and marine seaweed.
The local residents here are warm and friendly. They enjoy a sedate pace of life and create an unhurried, very relaxed village atmosphere.
Island Smiles Homestay is the childhood dream of a local girl, a perfect place where our friends from all over the world can experience the real Vietnamese lifestyle. Enjoy local flavours and take tours accompanied by residents to experience the true culture of Vietnam. Then let your heart rest as you relax at the end of the day.
Island Smiles is a sustainable property so we say no with plastic bags and one time use plastic bottles so you can borrow the bottle to fill the water at homestay.
I was born in Bai Huong village, where I grew up in a place with a very small school and limited medical facilities. During my childhood I spent all of my time in this small village, so did not have the chance to meet visitors to Vietnam from other countries. In those days, I had little idea who they were!
When I entered secondary school I had to leave my parents so I could live in Hoi An with my grandparents near Cua Dai beach. After school every day, I would eat a snack on the beach and listen to English being spoken. I was very curious and wanted to learn to speak with visitors to Vietnam. I thought learning another language would be a great opportunity to make friends and also help my family economically by establishing a homestay on my home island.
A plan I have is to give island children the chance to take classes with a foreign teacher in order to learn English.
Cham island is in fact a group of eight small islands recognized as a global Biosphere reserve by UNESCO. The islands offer sandy beaches, beautiful coral reefs, and palm trees. Beautiful hills and blue seas combine to make the islands a paradise location.
There are some coffee shop front of the beaches for you to relax and hand out. Close by the beaches and main village so just rent motorbike to discover the island....
