Jim manages Abbotts Hill in the Swartland. He provides private guided tours of the Cape Winelands and West Coast. He is also a certified Tourist Guide who provides private Wine, Culture, History and Nature tours. He speaks English and Swedish, is a Cape Wine Academy graduate, garagiste winemaker (Hunneyball Wines in Platters) and member of the South African Sommeliers Association with great interest in sharing his knowledge of all aspects of wine enjoyment and production. We have identified over 70 bird species on the farm. If you enjoy horse riding, our neighbour offers horses for advanced-level outrides at affordable rates. We are well placed for day trips to Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Tulbagh and Cape Town, each is 50 minutes away and the West Coast National Park with its azure lagoon and white sandy beaches is just 45 minutes. !Khwa ttu, the San Heritage Centre is 40 minutes away and is worth visiting. Riebeeck-Kasteel is only 20 minutes’ drive and is worth visiting for its dining. All these trips mean passing through magical countryside.
