AfriCamps is all about boutique glamping at the most beautiful working farms and estates in South Africa. Here you are welcomed by the landowner and his family, learn about their farming business and experience everything from hiking to hammocking, from seclusion in nature & romantic escapes, to family outings and merry chaos with friends!
AfriCamps provides attractive accommodation to those who like the freedom of the great outdoors but don’t necessary want to rough it. With all the comfort of a permanent structure – proper furniture, bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a solid wooden floor – they still preserve the romance and atmosphere of staying in a tent. Each tent has a sitting area, dining table, 2 bedrooms (sleeping 5 people) and even has aircon for the hot summer months and a fireplace and electric blankets for when you need to get cozy in winter.
With AfriCamps, you get to take a comfortable adventure.

AfriCamps at Mackers is magnificently set on the riverbank of the Sabie River. Our boutique glamping tents are all facing the river just a few meters from the streaming water and are surrounded by lush green grass and indigenous forest.
AfriCamps at Mackers is the perfect place to relax and explore when looking to spend some time in the Mpumalanga bush. Hear the nearby animals at night from the comfort of your boutique glamping tent or walk a few meters over the soft grass to dip your toes into the river right in front of you. Spend some time in your own backyard by taking a beautiful hike from your tent to admire the breath-taking scenery of waterfalls and wild rapids further up the river.
