Hi, we are Karen and Ross. Karen is Australian and Ross is South African. We met in Guatemala while backpacking through Central America and have since travelled extensively together. Recently married and wanting to put down some roots lead us to this beautiful place. Our previous experience in hospitality working on private yachts and in game lodges gave us valuable knowledge to make Amber Light a great experience for our guests. We love Wilderness and are so happy that we can share that love with our guests.

Amber Light is a quaint guesthouse in a unique thatched rondavel style. A rondavel is a typical round African hut with a grass roof. All the rooms are very comfortable with good wifi, a TV with satellite service, a mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and en-suite bathroom. There is also a self catering area and bbq facilities for guests to use.

Our location is the best part of the accommodation. We overlook a nice big open space known as Wilderness Common and can see the sea on the other other side. It's just a 4 minute walk to the beach, 2 minutes to the boardwalk along the lagoon and two minutes to the Wilderness Village with a great selection of restaurants and bars and a supermarket. There really is no need to drive your car if you don't want to while you're here.
