Your hosts Koos and Ria, both had careers in education . They built this beautiful Guest house overlooking the Indian Ocean and enjoy hosting guests from all over the world. Koos likes painting, and his work can be seen throughout the Guest House and he is a Registered Cultural tour guide, and specializes in a historical tour through town or hike down to the historical caves. Ria is a magnificent interior decorator and decorated every room with a different theme. She is also the Vice Chairperson of the Mossel Bay Guest House Guild and a Director on the Mossel Bay Tourism Board. The breakfast she makes is absolute delicious with her home made muffins and jam on top of the range.

Bokmakierie Guest house was specially built to render a home from home to guests visiting the Garden Route. From here, one can explore and enjoy Mossel Bay and surrounding towns of the Garden ROute on day trips. The Cango and Historical Caves , Ostrich farms, Hiking trails, Sea activities like Shark Cage Diving and trips to the seal island, Mountain passes and Game farms can be visited on a day drive. Our Property is nestled in Dana Bay, a Nature Conservancy and residential suburb of Mossel Bay, which is home to rich flora and fauna. The bush buck graze in and around the property and we have a rich birdlife.

Amzee Bokmakierie Guest House is named after the lovely yellow and green Bokmakierie bird that occurs all over South Africa with dominant sounds in this nature conservancy of Dana Bay. On your way from Cape Town to Mossel Bay, Dana bay is the first suburb of Mossel Bay on the Garden route. Bush buck, Grey buck and birds in abundance can be seen in Dana Bay with its beautiful nature and seven ravines leading towards the shore.
