At 85 on Church is situated centrally in the beautiful town of Prince Albert, within walking distance to all amenities. It is surrounded by a beautiful, established garden with large shade trees, fruit trees and a herb garden. A large pool is there for your convenience on the hot summer days. There are heaters, fans and mosquito nets in the rooms as well as a wood-burner. The spaces are large and comfortable and the house has verandas on two sides for sun or shade at any time. The kitchen is fully equipped and even has a dishwasher. At 85 is the perfect place to kick back and relax, or to explore the town and surrounds which has so much to offer. You will need a few days to fully appreciate it all.

Contact Us The owners of At 85 on Church are Jean-Luc and Marie-Claire Melice-Mulders. Jean-Luc is a climate scientist. He worked for 4 years at the University of Cape Town and fell in love with the Karoo. He now works in Paris. They are Belgians and have been coming to Prince Albert since 2007. They both love the place and are ready to give you all the information you need about the town and the area. The house is managed by Elise Fox. Elize has 2 sons, 21 and 25 years old. She lives in Prince Albert since 2012 and would never leave this beautiful town for another place. She loves people of all walks of life. She is very friendly and very enthusiast. She is an Early Childhood Development teacher and love children. And she also loves gardening. Our guests really appreciate her. Whenever you need her, she is only a call away and lives very near of our place.

Prince Albert is spoilt for choice with good restaurants. You can also take various cooking classes. We have a Guernsey dairy, wine farms, olive farms, fig farms and much more of which you can buy award winning products from them or local shops. There are beautiful walks and drives in and around the magnificent Swartberg Mountains, and even to 'Die Hel'. Bicycle hire, game drives, yoga, historical, palentological, botanical and geological walks and talks and much more are available. There is a wonderful 9 hole golf course and there are also tennis courts where you can join the locals in a game.
