Barieta Beach Cottages is a fully equipped self-catering property. We do not provide towels or toiletries. To be fully prepared for your stay we recommend you pack the following items: Towels, hair dryer, bath soap, toiletries, mosquito repellent toilet paper, groceries, coal for the braai, sunscreen, sunhat, sunglasses, fishing gear, beach umbrella and chairs. We have access to an exclusive beach being a mere half a kilometer away. It is a haven for cosy family stays, relaxing in the sun, swimming, fishing (various & abundant), dolphin watching, exploration of rock pools & coral reefs, including spear fishing. Migrating whales can be spotted from September to November. At night you fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean to enchant you on a journey made of stardust. All houses have sea views.

Situated at Mtwalume, a quaint coastal holiday & fishing village & well kept secret destination, approximately 90 Km south of Durban & 33 Km from Scottburgh, in the Ugu District of Kwazulu Natal. For the purpose of shopping, Mtwalume itself has two shops for bare necessities as well as a post office. Shopping centre close to Mtwalume are Shelly Centre, Arbour Crossing Shopping Centre in Amanzimtoti and the Galleria Shopping Centre
